My name is Katie, and I just graduated from college where I studied Advertising / PR and Spanish. I am currently working in the Marketing department at a publishing company that publishes local magazines in the Twin Cities.
I love to feed people. There's truly nothing better than enjoying great conversation over great food. I am also incredibly passionate about entertaining. I always tell people that I live to entertain. You will also find bits about entertaining on my blog!
While the Pioneer Woman was my inspiration for this blog, I prefer to channel Meryl Streep's character in It's Complicated.

I come from a very large, close-knit, mixed family, and I couldn't be luckier. Somehow all of our gatherings take place in our kitchen where someone is always baking or cooking - usually my mom Sara. All of our fun happens in the kitchen, usually over beer and wine (or gin and tonics).
Here's a little more info about me:
- I have a serious zest for life.
- I am in love with the Twin Cities. I am a Twin Cities' restaurant / shops / events / etc. junkie.
- I have an adorable red vintage bike with a basket. It is nothing less than fantastic. I bike everyday, even if it's not on my cruiser.
- My day is always better with a latte. I am a coffee snob (as well as a beer snob).
- I love aerobics and spin classes. My ultimate goal is to become a group fitness instructor. It's been a long time coming, but I'm workin' on it!
- My family is loud, particularly my sisters and me. My stepdad Mark - all in good fun - never fails to mention this.
- I have a wee brother of 3 years, Carter. He belongs to my dad, Joe and stepmom, Debbie.
I think that covers the basics!
In my quest to become a famous baker / entertainer (just kidding, not famous [well maybe locally famous]), I shall start this blog of sorts. I hope you find it inspiring (and mouth-watering of course). Enjoy!
